The Corrs.

The Corrs have sold more than 55 million albums worldwide

“The Right Time” and “Runaway” were all singles that would reach the top ten Irish Singles Chart.

Their hit song “Breathless” from the album “In Blue” meant the band broke into the US.

The album “The Best of the Corrs” sold over 17 million copies worldwide, turning it multi-platinum worldwide. 

“Time Enough for Tears” was on the album “Borrowed Heaven” and was written for the film “In America”. 

This features Bono, Gavin Friday and Lady Smith Black Mambazo. 

It reached number 1, in Ireland with all three singles entering the Irish Music Charts.

The album entered the top ten albums in the United States.  (Last.fm: 2008)

Along with Riverdance, The Corrs were a big influence in the choice of instruments and rhythms in my piece.
